Kanan Jarrus, The Last Padawan (

MCA #3, Monday Morning
After his radio broadcast, Kanan dragged his feet all the way back to his apartment. Up the stairs. Through the door, tripping over an enthusiastic dog along the way.
... Taking the leash from Stance. Putting it onto him, taking him outside for a walk to do his business...
And then back into the apartment again, managing to kick off his boots somewhere in the middle of the living room so that he was in sock feet by the time he hit the bedroom, and kind of oozing back into bed, muttering.
Razzumfrazzum time change. Arg-bargle. And so on. And what was even up with the squirrels beeping out that one particular kind of music during his broadcast, anyway?
"Earth's stupid," he announced around the time his head hit the pillow. "Stupid Earth."
He needed more sleep for this.
[OOC: Open for she who lives there, or anyone who wants to wake up a cranky Kanan at not-as-early-as-he-thinks-it-is in the morning!]

That was Hera's super helpful half-asleep question.

He needed way more caf to be able to process what had gone on at the radio station that morning. Or sleep. Actual sleep.
no subject
Neither part of that was computing, Kanan.

...
Nope. He was Awake Now.
"Next week, I'm going to trap the squirrels under an upside-down garbage can if they show up early again."
Kanan. Kanan, honey. It wasn't early. This is just your life now.

She was going to trap you under a can in a minute, Kanan.

"Nope," he muttered under his breath. "Already awake."
Dammit. Maybe he would've been able to get back to sleep if he hadn't had to walk the dog, too. Not that he was blaming Stance for having to go, but uuuugh.

"And this," he announced, gesturing grandly to the bed as he turned around, "is exactly why I was going to sleep on the couch."

Since they were awake, now.

She slid out of bed, yawned, and rubbed her eyes. "Why so early?"

"Some weird Earth thing," he sighed. "Apparently it's supposed to save the daylight, or something. As if changing your clocks somehow mysteriously makes the sun shine for longer. Which it doesn't, by the way. I checked."
You couldn't be too sure around here, okay? Earth was stupid and Fandom was crazy.

Seriously. Garbage can, upside-down, over the top of them.
"Apparently they go back the other way in another six months. I feel like I should introduce them all to Gorse."

"Whenever it finds something like this that I didn't even see coming, I start to wonder why the hell I thought coming back was a good idea," he admitted. "And then I remember that the troopers in town are idiots, and the actual Empire is in a different galaxy. That helps."
He filled the perk with water, measured out the caf into the filter, and hit the button.

... Okay, so he'd just been thumped with a pillow. Like that was going to stop him from being a casual flirt, here.

Now he just wanted to hear it.

And that... that was weird.
