Milliways, Sunday Evening
Kanan was actually getting used to living on the island and getting his fill of excitement by leaving to explore whatever was on the other side of the Causeway, and he couldn't help but be curious of the place with the spaceport lot that went on for damn near forever. It had taken him a little bit longer before he realized that the bill for the restaurant was already handled. And, well, when he came to that realization, there wasn't anything keeping him from visiting to have himself a meal on the school's tab, was there? So, over he went, curious but relieved to see another stopover where the locals were more diverse than just humans. A place with very little sentient non-human life just struck him as wrong.
It kind of freaked him out a little.
... Not as much as the conversation with the main course did, though. He was actually looking a little green by the time they wheeled the somewhat dejected creature away from the table. There had been a salad on the menu. Kanan was going to stick with that. It would be a while longer before he managed to pick something to drink, though. He was pretty sure they were using the other two volumes of the wine list to bludgeon somebody's casserole to death in the back room or something.
[OOC: I can't resist a good gnab gib. Open if you're wandering about at the end of the universe! NFB for off-islandness, though.]

So, Wash was pretty darn glad he'd stuck with the MJOLNIR armor for his little trip to check out this place. He was fully expecting to have someone attempt to put him on the menu at any given time. "Kanan?"
no subject
"Uh." Squint. "... Agent Washington, is that you in there?"
You were so lucky your armor was pretty distinct, Wash. Kanan didn't generally trust a person wearing a bucket.

He meant that lovingly, Wash.
"Not taking any risks over your dinner, are you?"

He was also eyeing one of the nearest table's dinner. Which was difficult to tell with the helmet and all, but still. It was what he was doing.

"Can you even eat in that thing? Or were you here to take in the sights more than for the food itself?"
no subject
"Can I? Yes. Will I? Starting to doubt it here."

Somehow, Mooby's seemed safer.

She was a little startled by the sheer diversity of the clientele of the restaurant at the end of the causeway. There was a lot of wide eyed staring that attempted to pretend it wasn't wide eyed staring as she made her way towards the bar. Then Bill jumped up off her head and spouted excited bubbles.
"Oh great," said a Boov a few tables away. "I thought we came here to get away from advertising."
Tip caught Bill sheepishly and tried to surreptitiously watch the Boov. And walked right into Kanan's table, knocking herself on her ass.
"Oof."

The place was maaaaybe just a little bit distracting. Kanan understood.

Just not euphemism with the actual cow. Thanks.

Did they make Gargle Blasters to go?

"It's probably best," Hannibal agreed. "When our class came here, we ended up carrying one of the students back home after."
no subject
Kanan had to check to be sure. Because for the most part, the students around that age that he'd met didn't strike him as the types to really know their own limits.
Of course, he knew his own limits and frequently ignored them. So.

Maybe some people needed them to eat the dish of the day?
no subject
"Huh. Then yeah, I guess that isn't a drink I'm going to sample unless I bring my hovercart with me before I hit the bar, and have somebody who can push me back after I inevitably forget how 'up' works."
